Pagoda Restaurant

The "Pagoda" is the oldest continuously operating restaurant in Hamilton. It originally opened on the southeast fringe of Hamilton's old "Chinatown" which lay along King William between Hughson and John streets. The building is likely Pre-Confederation, and is therefore an "appropriate" neighbour of Sir John A. MacDonald whose statue stands diagonally across John Street in Gore Park.
