Now Contributing to HH: Bill Manson
Posted: April 2nd, 2009 | Author: Brian Kowalewicz | Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: Contributors, Site News |We are very pleased to announce that local historian Bill Manson is now contributing to HistoricalHamilton.com.
Bill Manson is a born-and-bred Hamiltonian (and proud of it), a retired educator, and a local historian and heritage advocate. The published author of several books and articles celebrating Hamilton, he also presents illustrated talks, and conducts guided walks of our built and natural heritage. Bill is currently the Chair of the Hamilton Historical Board, and sits as a Governor on the Hamilton Future Fund Board.
Bill has authored some great books including Up and Down Locke Street South, Getting Around Hamilton, and Footsteps in Time Volumes 1 & 2. You can purchase these books online from chapters.indigo.ca. The Footsteps in Time Volume series are among my favourite local history books, and one of the inspirations for our website. I would strongly recommend any of Bill’s books to anyone with an interest in local history and heritage.

Bill also conducts guided walking tours of Hamilton’s heritage neighbourhoods. We will post about these walks as they are announced.
